Wynwood

Wynwood Walls

Wynwood of Miami is what is the Arts District for Los Angeles. Colorful large-scale murals adorn neglected warehouses and shuttered factories, creating one of the largest open-air street-art installations in the world. The influence and relevance of the growing arts community in Wynwood is undeniable and attracts businesses of all types. Stylish bars, cafés healthy eateries and other creative businesses are sucesfully opening their doors and render the district popularity especially among young people. As the area gets more and more attention, Wynwood has also made a name for itself as the go-to place for an alternative and more cultural nightlife in the City of Miami .

Art Deco

The beautiful Art Deco Architecture is what renders Miami it`s special retro flair. South Beach’s Art Deco District claims the largest concentration of 1920s and 1930s architecture in the world. In the 70s however, the art deco architecture, of which many is centered around Ocean Drive, was almost demolished. Thanks to a last minute citizens initiative, visitors from all over the world can marvel the pastel palaces today. A lot of the precious architecture is under monumental protection nowadays, allowing a time journey back in history – and to revel in Miami’s retro-fabulous style.

El Patio

El Patio

The Wynwood based Latin Bar El Patio is a great place to soak up funky Latin vibes. With a shabby-chic decor of lounging vintage sofas, greens and chains of lights, this outdoor spot creates the atmosphere of a beautiful patio. Old-school vintage salsa, mixed with electronic music, Bachata and Reggaeton are enjoyed by a mixed crowd all over from South and Central America. The place starts off as a bar, but ends the night as a vibrant party with eclectic Latin music and great drinks. Even if you are not a dancer, you will dance the night away – I promise.

Grown

Food is not made or manufactured, it is “grown”

The healthy organic fast food restaurant Grown was opened by former Miami Heat player Ray Allen. Inspired by troubles finding quick healthy options for their son, who has Type 1 diabetes, he and his wife Shannon partnered with a team of nutrition experts to conceptualize a novelty in the restaurant scene. With the first organic fast food restaurant, they are living up to the needs of our fast paced, but health-conscious generation. The menu includes organic breakfast, lunch and dinner items including soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps, gluten-free baked goods, cold-pressed juices and smoothies. All ingredients are locally sourced or grown in the restaurant`s own urban rooftop garden. Food is not made or manufactured, it is “grown” here.

Grown. Miami at 8211 South Dixie Highway.
