The fruity drink Sangria is a perfect refreshment on hot days and a must for every summer party! Chopped fruits and spices are mixed with red or white wine to create this popular Spanish wine punch. The tasty drink is fruity, cooling & refreshing – one of the best cocktails for summer.
- 3 l Spanish red wine (e.g. Rioja)
- 9 freshly pressed oranges
- 6 tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 sticks of cinnamon
- 300 ml Cointreau
- Sliced oranges, limes, apples, nectarines, peaches, melon
- Ice cubes
In a large bowl, mix the red wine with Cointreau & sugar and stir well until the sugar has dissolved. Next, add the freshly pressed orange juice and 2 cinnamon sticks. Cut the oranges, limes, apples, nectarines, peaches and melon in pieces and add them to the Sangria. It is important to let the fruits soak for some time, you can even prepare the wine punch a day ahead and it will be deliciously aromatic. Serve the Sangria cooled with ice and
