Dear meat eaters, convince yourself that this Chili is spiced up even without beef. Lentils and beans are great protein providers to substitute meat in this super tasty Chili Sin Carne.






  • Garlic
  • Onions
  • Red peppers
  • Canned tomatoes (chopped)
  • Kidney beans (canned)
  • Corn (canned)
  • Lentils (canned)
  • Some water
  • Ground coriander, cumin powder, chili powder, 1 bay leaf

Toppings:  Cheddar, coriander, chillies


Start by frying the chopped onions and garlic in some olive oil. Next, add the finely minced red peppers and the (chopped) canned tomatoes with some water. Season with salt & pepper, ground coriander, cumin powder, chili powder, 1 bay leaf – and let it cook for about 20 minutes. In a last step, add the beans, lentils, corn and let it cook for another 5 minutes.

I love to top the chili with freshly chopped coriander, chillies, cheddar and some sour cream for an extra twist.
