Summer is coming to an end. How amazing were the past months of lively family gatherings around beautifully decorated tables, balmy nights spent in the garden. Keep in memory the sweetness of summer with this Homemade Banana Apple Nut Bread. The cake is anything but a bread, super moist and soft. Bananas & apples give a flavorful fruitiness, so good – Just like summer!




  • 2 cups of sifted flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 tsp. salt


  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup of butter
  • 1.75 cups of sugar
  • 1 cup of walnuts
  • 0.75 cups chopped apples
  • 3 bananas


  1. Preheat the oven to 350° (175 degrees).
  2. Stir together the ingredients for the dry mix. In a large bowl, blend the ingredients for the wet mix (eggs, butter, sugar, walnuts and bananas). Pour in the dry mixture and stir well so that fruits and nuts are evenly spread.
  3. Butter a rectangular baking tin and dust with flour. Fill the dough into the form, spreading evenly. Bake until a wooden pick inserted near center comes out clean. – Approximately 50-60 minutes.
