A healthy breakfast is an essential ingredient for a good day. We all know it, but in the morning hustle, there are sometimes only a few minutes left to eat only a quick snack. Granolas are predestined to give you much the needed energy for long days! This Homemade Chocolate Granola recipe is a yummy kick-start for the day in less than 10 minutes! Yes, you heard right. It is surprising how fast and easy nourishing treats can be prepared fresh out of the oven. With less sugar and more natural sweetness this breakfast is a healthy alternative to pre-packed granolas you can buy. And who doesn’t have a heart for chocolate ;) Have a great day!




  • 150 g oat flakes
  • 2 tbsp. honey
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 package vanilla sugar
  • 40 g butter
  • 1 tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 tbsp. coconut  flakes
  • 2 tbsp. raisins
  • 2 tbsp. chopped pecan nuts

A yummy kick-start for the day

in less than 10 minutes!

Preheat the oven to 190°C  (370°F). Melt the butter in a medium size pan and stir in the sugar, vanilla sugar, honey and cocoa. Add the oat flakes, coconut flakes, raisins & pecans. Spread the mixture on a baking tray covered with baking paper and bake in the oven for about 6 minutes. Leave to cool. Prepare a healthy breakfast bowl with your freshly homemade chocolate granola – so yum!
